Fortress Power launches eBoost battery system with 16 kWh capacity

<p>Going &#8220;one louder&#8221; than many other home energy storage systems (ESS) on the market, <a href="https://www.fortresspower.com/">Fortress Power</a> has introduced the <em>16 kWh</em> eBoost battery system (versus the more common 15 kWh capacity). </p>

<p>A single unit can serve as backup power for a residence, while multiple units can scale for light commercial or multi-tenant applications &#8212; Fortress Power says 16 units can be connected in parallel, achieving a 256 kWh system in both grid-tied and off-grid residential and commercial applications. Each eBoost unit provides up to 12 kW of continuous charge and discharge power.</p>

<p>Supporting both single-phase and three-phase 208V configurations, the eBoost’s performance specs—16 kWh per unit and 12 kW continuous power output—position it squarely between small-scale batteries and larger C&amp;I systems.</p>

<p>Each system includes a 10-year warranty and is designed for long-term operation without compromising accessibility or safety.</p>

<p>The 16 kWh eBoost builds on the company’s previous <a href="https://solarbuildermag.com/tag/fortress-power/">eVault MAX platform</a> but incorporates several practical upgrades. </p>

<li>Larger-capacity cells boost energy density while reducing footprint, and integrated locking wheels make on-site mobility easier.</li>

<li>The system’s IP65-rated enclosure with internal heating elements allows for operation in temperatures ranging from -4°F to 140°F, broadening its usability for both indoor and outdoor projects. </li>

<li>The new eWay Wireway System also organizes cabling for a cleaner, faster installation and better long-term serviceability.</li>

<p>The eBoost was engineered to integrate with <a href="https://www.fortresspower.com/products/envy-duo21/">Fortress Power’s Envy Duo 21 inverter</a> to eliminate extra steps in commissioning while maintaining full monitoring capabilities through the BMS. </p>
