Fronius, MidNite Solar team on AC-coupled solar + storage solution

<p>Fronius fans can now combine the <a href="https://solarbuildermag.com/energy-storage/fronius-gen24-plus-battery-compatibility-upgrade-now-available/">Fronius GEN24</a> with the energy security of <a href="https://www.midnitesolar.com/">MidNite Solar</a>. The two companies completed testing showing full AC-coupled compatibility between the Fronius GEN24 and Midnite Rosie, product number MNROSIE7048RE.</p>

<p>AC coupling is great for retrofits. AC coupling allows a battery-based inverter to charge batteries and power a home with the power from a grid-tied inverter during a grid failure. It does this by providing a voltage signal to the grid-tied inverter, so it continues to make power as if the grid was still present. Batteries will be charged from the battery-based inverter, ensuring the system is operating with maximum runtime.</p>

<p>The Rosie inverter offers the surge power of a low frequency inverter, with the added benefit of reduced weight.
