Haier launches propane air-to-water heat pump for commercial applications

<p>China-based heat pump manufacturer Haier has introduced a new commercial air-to-water heat pump range for commercial heating applications, including office buildings, small commercial facilities, and retrofit projects where higher water temperatures are required.</p>
<p>The new system uses R290 (propane) as refrigerant and is offered in four heating capacity classes: 26 kW, 30 kW, 35 kW and 40 kW.</p>
<p>According to the company, the new monobloc system achieves A+++ seasonal energy efficiency and can provide leaving water temperatures of up to 80 C. The manufacturer also claims to system can achieve a seasonal coefficient of performance (SCOP) of 4.91. </p>
<p>“It is possible for the unit to be cascaded up to eight units. Offering a scalable solution for larger projects and buildings with higher capacity demands with up to 320 kW capacity,” the company said in a statement. “The new unit is fitted with a refrigerant leak detector, refrigerant separator alongside a fully sealed electrical control box.”</p>
<p>Haier also stated that the heat pump achieves sound levels from approximately 47 dB(A), with the low-noise design intended to improve suitability for urban and noise-sensitive commercial installations.</p>
<p>The outdoor unit features a horizontal air discharge configuration, which Haier says enables more flexible installation in locations where space constraints are an issue.</p>
<p>“The commercial range maintains 2 core wiring the same as the existing Haier residential heat pump range,” the company emphasized. “This makes installation consistent and easy to follow. Zone control allows flexibility and reassurance when it comes to climate control, ensuring any environment it comfortable depending on the users needs.”</p>
